Barbara Zietek MSc. holds a Master’s degree in Analytical Toxicology from King's College London. During her studies she performed her project placement at German Sport University in Cologne where she developed a method for the identification of small peptide hormones in plasma samples using nano-scale liquid chromatography interfaced to high resolution high accuracy mass spectrometry.

Currently Zietek is one of 13 early stage researchers of in the Initial Training Network ARIADME. She is working on an innovative platform to asses Phase I and II metabolism. This she will do in an integrated setup with automated and parallel metabolite profiling for specific ADME assessments. Moreover, Zietek is developing nanofractionation bioassays for adverse drug reactions and drug-drug interactions. With these bioassays, she is able to study ADME and toxicology processes of lead compounds in a high-throughput and high-resolution fashion.
