The problem of PFOS pollution caused by the 3M factory in Zwijndrecht is leading to social and now also political high tension in the Flemish government. These 'forever chemicals' are associated with a huge list of health effects. VU professor of environmental chemistry and toxicology Jacob de Boer gave an explanation last week in various media about the consequences of this pollution, including EOS Wetenschap and HLN.
