Van Duursen comments on the dangers of Teflon in frying pans

Teflon in frying pans can be quite toxic. Teflon is made from poly and perfluoroalkyl materials, in short: PFAS. Majorie van Duursen, VU professor of toxicology, finds it incomprehensible that so many products containing PFAS can still be sold. "The substances end up in drinking water, and thus also in dairy and fruit," she says in the Dutch newspaper AD. Read the article (in Dutch).
