AIMMS researchers successful

Joen Luirink, Henry Vischer, Rob Leurs, BasTeusink and Martine Smit scored grants at EU-KP7, NWO, STW and NGI-Zenith

Joen Luirink (Molecular Microbiology) scored a grant at STW: The E. coli Hbp autotransporter: a novel platform for live vaccine development and heterologous protein secretion (post-doc). Furthermore he was successful in the EU in the KP7 programme. He received a post-doc on the topic Advanced Immunization Technologies

Bas Teusink (System Bioinformatics) received ad Zenith grant in the Horizon programme of NGI: a combination of the fields of genomics and bioinformatics : From gene to microbial communities: exploring microbial communities at genome scale using constraint-based modeling and community experimentation (postdoc and a PhD student)

Henry Vischer, Rob Leurs (Medicinal Chemistry) and Martine Smit (Target and Systems Biochemistry) scored an STW grant in collaboration with the Belgian biotech Ablynx entitled Variable domains of camelid heavy chain-only antibodies (VHH) to selectively inhibit oncogenic virally-encoded G protein-coupled receptors (postdoc, technician and PhD student)
