(External) Annual Meeting AIMMS

The first AIMMS Annual Meeting has been a great success!

The Annual Meeting covered two days: i.e. March 31st and at April 1st: the first focussed on AIMMS-members, whereas the second day concerned a programme for external contacts and stakeholders.

During the external Annual Meeting of AIMMS three interesting lectures were scheduled first, i.e. about current and future developments and the challenges in AIMMS-related disciplines. The speakers of the morning session were Douwe Breimer (Leiden), Adriano Henney (Heidelberg), and Rob Leurs (Amsterdam).

In the afternoon the first anniversary of AIMMS has been celibrated. The session was opened by the director of AIMMS Nico Vermeulen with a newly prepared video. This session furthermore consisted of speeches of the Chancellor Lex Bouter and Nick Turner (Manchester) of the Scientifc Advisory Board of AIMMS. Last but not least, the Deans  of our founding faculties FALW and FEW (Bauke Oudega and Hubertus Irth) congratulated AIMMS with its first birthday, talked about their expectations and opened a bottle of champagne.
